the Conference

The conference was a wonderful space where ideas and experiences from young people aged 16 to 20 from all over the world could come together, enriching those who participate with multiple perspectives and ways of seeing life. This conference had a central theme that brought us together and served as a guiding thread throughout the days: connect.

The conference was organised by young people from around the world in collaboration with the Youth Section at the Goetheanum and the board of the students’ representatives of Waldorf schools in Germany, the Waldorf SV.

The International Students’ Conference 2026 was structured around a thematic arc that unfolds over five days. We will begin by turning inward – exploring the realm of the inner life and what it means to be an individual in today’s world. As the days progress, our focus gradually expanded outward, moving from personal reflection to shared experience.

contributions & GAMES

Throughout the conference, a diverse group of experts – from e-waste strategists to world explorers to anthroposophical doctors – shared their insights and experiences. We also explored each day’s theme through interactive games led by our contributors, using play as a way to build connections, spark friendships, and deepen our engagement with the topics at hand.

workshops

In smaller workshop groups, participants had the opportunity to explore various fields of personal interest. Workshop topics included woodworking, juggling, folk dance and much more!

performances

In the Goetheanum’s own beautiful auditorium, the Great Hall, we enjoyed musical, dance, and eurythmy performances from around the world. Both professional guest artists and student performers shared their creativity and energy, making each performance a unique and memorable experience.
