the conference
The International Students’ Conference is organised by the Youth Section at the Goetheanum, a diverse and international group of young people from Argentina, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand and Tanzania, in collaboration with the WaldorfSV. The WaldorfSV serves as the official board of student representatives from Waldorf schools across Germany.
While this collaboration enriches the process, it is the Youth Section at the Goetheanum that carries the central responsibility, holding both the core vision and the overall coordination of the event.

Taking Heart: Finding our way together
Through this conference, we wish to inspire courage in young students to work together and face the future with the strength that comes from a diverse and collaborative group. When we learn from each other in an open way, we see where we can combine our attributes to fill in for another, and by doing so can discover new ways to go about the issues our world is facing, ways we wouldn’t be able to find each on our own.

trust (DiGITAL)
Trust is an important and fluid foundation in our lives that can be experienced on three levels: From our personal sphere, trust can be summed up as “self-confidence”. From the interpersonal level, trusting each other, as well as the belief that loyalty, and responsibility are related to each other. From a social perspective, as is reflected in politics, the personal meets the interpersonal level. Only through a balance between one’s contribution to society and the individual development arising from said contribution, can a harmonious-functioning community be created. It is important that we question trust but not to doubt it, in order to enter the future path with confidence.

courage
Five days of critical reflection and great, inspiring conversations, lectures and workshops lead us to acting from our hearts and to carrying our impulses to other people at the “Creative Intervention” in Basel. We are certain that these beautiful encounters brought up the strong will inside all of us and lots of warmth to keep courage within us and to spread it in our surrounding.
